sum it all up for us:
I've never found a sport that I could really stick with until powerlifting.
I tried a couple of different things in high school and I wrestled in
college, but was never really passionate about any of that. I started
lifting while I was deployed in Iraq. There wasn't too much to do for
entertainment and my combat buddy used to compete so he got me
started. When I got back to the states, I talked with Sandi and hooked
up with the Asses for some training and they helped straighten me out
and got me in a shirt.
Now I'm hooked. I still have a hell of a lot of room for improvement
but there's nowhere to go but up. As far as training goes, I do a decent
amount of traveling to get to good coaching (and spotting). I have had
the opportunity to train with some great lifters and I am thankful for
all those who have welcomed me into their gyms.
I hope that one day I can help and insjpire others in the way other
lifters have done so for me.
