I started powerlifing less than a year ago in 2006.
That would have to be my boyfriend Chauncey. He helped me get in
powerlifting adn has been with me every step of the day. He took over
helping me train while he also trains. He's in the 220 class and just
competed at the Summer Heat III. His awesome total was 1675 lbs. He is
my boyfriend, my trainer and my best friend. I don't know what I would
do without him.
weight class:

family background:
I was born in Israel and grew up in a suburb outside Philly. I'm the oldest,
having a younger sister and brother. I moved down to South Carolina and
graduated from USC. I am now a Law Enforcement Officer.
I started working out with the people I work with, but they were more into
bodybuilding. At first I didn't even know the difference between BB and PL, then I started
dating my boyfriend Chauncey, who is a powerlifter. Out of curiosity and as a challenge to
myself I pulled away from my squad's workout routine and did my own thing, focusing
more on getting stronger, not just looking stronger. That was a little less than a year ago.
When I started I could barely bench 75 lbs, I never squatted and never even heard of
deadlifting. Well, all that has changed.
I haven't maxed out on squat yet because I am still trying to get used to my briefs, but
I have gotten up to sets of 255 lbs. My pr for deadlift is around 315 and benching is 155.
I'm in the process of getting used to a single ply shirt a friend gave me and ordering a
double ply. I expect my bench pr to go up with the use of a good shirt. Once I get all of
that in line I will be competing.
