summary in my own words:
Although I initially started training in 1997, it wasn't until I hooked up with my husband Frank that I really started to train with a purpose. Being I started lifting at an older age (39) I have been basically injury free. I have also been fortunate to lift with a trainer and people that respect my goals, and what I need to accomplish. When Frank and I started training we laid out a time frame as to how, when and where things would happen. When I competed in the IPF World meet, it was actually the final portion of the plan (except I didn't win) being able to total between 980-1000+ in the 165 /master 2 (45-49yo) class gives me quite and advatage in meets, and I am able to do fairly well in the open class. As long as I can put the suit on I will keep training and competing. Finally, to Barbara B, Thank you for taking me in and allowing me to lift with your group. It gave me the focus I needed.

I presently hold State/American, National/World records in my age/weight class in all of the above federations. My 479 deadlift @ 143 was over 3xbodyweight and was listed as the 13th best all-time world lift. Placed 3rd at the 2005 IPF MAster's World Meet in South Africa. I won the gold medal in the deadlift with 440 lbs.
