Big thanks to my parents, who support me whether they think it's a good idea or not! Thanks to my sister Alisha, for
supporting me as well, and also for her superior fashion sense. Thanks to Fei, for pushing me to start powerlifting in the first
place, and for looking after me. Thanks to the crew at Celli's for all their help and support.
Thanks to my sponsors Pinnacle Performance, APT Pro Wrist Sraps, Tod Ruhl and Supplement Central.
summary in my own words:
Most of my friends call me Natty. I started focusing on powerlifting when I came to
college in 2003, hoping to start competing and see what I could do. A pretty bad car
accident in 2004 left me in the hospital for a while, with fractured bones in my
lower back and neck as well as severed vocal cords and smashed voice box.
After taking a medical leave from school, it took a little over a year before I was
out of physical therapy and ready to go at the heavy weights again in February
2006. Even though I still lift raw, I've started using a belt to help my back. I have
an Inzer lever belt and I can't tell you how much I love it!
September 2006 was my first meet, where I set 2 state, 1 national and 1 world
record. I got invited to the WABDL World Championships, but I had school and
could not attend.
My favorite lift is the deadlift, and I've recently started some strongwoman
training for a break from the gym, which is tons of fun. I'm looking forward to
many more competitions and especially to meeting more of the powerlifting
community.
I am training with Ryan Celli now at his new gym. It has been awesome watching
these guys - Ryan's incredible, even coming off of an injury. Steve MacDonald is
one big dude! I'll be learning how to use my new Inzer HPHD and my DL suit.
I'm looking forward to seeing what 2008 brings!

other interests:
I like anything to do with horses & working in the barn:  I rode competitively from when I was
little up until high school and got some training experience in too. Other things I enjoy are
shooting at the range, nutrition, Civil War history, reading, movie stuff and country music.
employment:
I just got a paycheck for a few days on the set of the movie "Smart People", but no real
employment right now. I'm a full time college student with one semester left at Carnegie Mellon.
My uncool major is Info Systems (Communication Design) and my fun major is International
Relations (Asia).
