when did you start lifting:
|
I started lifting at Iron Asylum Gym in October 2006 when my older brother, Matt took me to the gym to workout. My goal then was to lose weight and be fit, before long I started training for a meet.
|
I am pretty much inspired by any powerlifter I have ever met in the past year - those who have it in them to step up on the platform. My biggest inspiration ofcourse, is my brother Matt, Sandi, Zane Sarah and my family and friends who have supported me without judgement.

175 squat, 145 bench, 225 deadlift, 515 total

I haven't been lifting long but it quickly became a passion for me. I also love photography. My hope is to someday become a photagrapher or graphic designer. I am still unsure about my future - but I still have time to figure it all out. One thing I am certain of is that lifting will always be a part of that future.

I live with my mom and my step father. I go to visit my dad on the weekends. They are supportive of my choice to lift. My older brother Matt, who is also my best friend, is also a competitive lifter. He was the one who first introduced me to lifting and I am so grateful to him for that. Another part of my family is the McCaslins. Though we are not blood related, they train me, support me and inspire me to do my best and whether they like it or not, they are stuck with me ;-)
