sum it all up for us:
I want to thank my husband, Bernard for sticking with me when I weighed in at 225 lbs instead of deadlifting it. Back when I had no interest in going to the gym or doing much exercise at all, he was a supportive friend. When I started to walk off the weight and got a gym membership, he kept on me to go consistently. When the free weights started calling to me, he became my workout partner. I'm still a novice lifter, but I love this sport because it is so objective, either you lift the weight or you don't. There's no discrimination. I am amazed to see my body morph into something I never thought was possible for me. I love watching my calluses develop from deadlifting. I am excited to see my pr's get higher and higher, tripling weights that I could barely single a few weeks before. I enjoy meeting people who are also attracted to powerlifting; they are some of the nicest, most confident individuals that I've ever had the pleasure to know. Thanks to Sandi "CandyAss" McCaslin for creating a site that acknowledges the special contribution that women make to powerlifting. Every woman on this page is my inspiration.

Last summer I started trail running and fell in love with it. I love being outside, moving fast through the woods. I also enjoy camping and sewing/knitting. I'm always a sucker for a good movie or book.
